Wegener Welding LLC offers plastic welding training in hot gas hand, hot gas extrusion, hot plate butt fusion and socket fusion in accordance with guidelines established by the DVS (German Welding Society). Our instructors are DVS certified welders. Wegener plastic welding training courses are tailored to fit the customer’s requirements and can be held at the customer’s facility or at Wegener Welding located in Burr Ridge, IL. (Chicago suburbs).
DVS (German Welding Society) Plastic Welder Certification Courses
This one-week course is held once yearly at Wegener Welding LLC’s facility. The trainer is a Certified Welding Instructor (CWI) from SKZ (Southern German Technical Institute). Attendees may opt to certify as plastic welders according to DVS and will receive an official welder card and certificate upon completion.
As the application of custom fabricated thermoplastic materials increase in different industries, the demand for proper welding procedures keeps intensifying in order to assure the longevity of the fabricated structures. This course is ideal for companies who start a plastic welding program, established plastic welding companies who periodically encounter welding problems or companies who have thermoplastic structures in their facilities that require occasional maintenance or modifications. It is also helpful for the quality control and engineering personnel who are involved in thermoplastics. In addition, this course is beneficial to contractors who need trained welding personnel for thermoplastic installation work.
